Scenes of constructing UNICEF Malabo Primary School Project in Zambia undertaken by Camland Construction Ltd.:
The transportation of materials: almost all materials were transported from Lusaka, the capital of Zambia. After being unloaded at Mongu Station, they were transported to the riverside by tractors, which took more than an hour each time.

Then the materials and equipment were carried by canoes to the project’s construction site.

There was no road, so the building materials could only be carried to the construction site by manpower or bullock carts.

Construction site: the whole school’s foundation weighs nearly one million tons. It took as long as 12 months to build the foundation. Considering the rainy season and other climatic conditions, some parts needed a second operation. This project was started in Sept. 2013 and finished in Feb. 2015. It took as many as 30,000 man-hours over about 17 months.
